Rudy Polwin, AIA

Throughout his education and professional career, Rudy has been dedicated to striking a balance between the theoretical knowledge of design and the practical knowledge of construction. He has worked professionally in both office and construction environments and believes firmly in the architect’s involvement in the entire building process.

Rudy is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he studied under renowned architect James Wines. While attending he participated in many student lead design/build projects such as the American Indian Housing Initiative, Solar Decathlon, and Freedom by Design projects.

Prior to establishing Rudy Polwin Architects he has worked professionally on residential and commercial projects with award winning firms in both Pennsylvania and Vermont. Rudy is responsible for all design, coordination, and operation of the firm.

In an effort to remain actively engaged with the community Rudy has instructed and been a recurring juror at Yestermorrow Design/Build School and serves on the Development Review Board for the Town of Waitsfield.

He is a licensed architect in Vermont and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
